Social Justice isn’t just something we do at Chesterland UCC, it’s how we live our faith everyday. We’ve been at the forefront of the social justice and women’s rights movement since our inception, and would love for you to join us!

Social Justice Group

The Social Justice Group meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7pm. Over a potluck dinner and with invited speakers, movies/short films, or other material, we learn about and discuss issues around inclusion, equity, and diversity. Past topics have included Abusive language, Vulnerability, Race, Bias , LGBT community, and Thug Life.

Community Meal Kit Program

In Ohio, over 1.5 million people are facing hunger - and of them almost 500,000 are children. 1 in 6 children face hunger everyday. CCC started a community meal program in 2018, and transitioned this to a meal kit program when COVID hit. As many as 24 families are served at each meal kit event, held every other week.

Cleveland Pride

Each year, the church is a proud participant in Cleveland Pride. Pride exists to be the catalyst for bringing awareness, education, and knowledge of the queer community to the general public in order to discourage/eliminate prejudice and discrimination on the basis of a person’s actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity.
Geauga Pride

2022 is the flagship year for our Geauga Pride event! To expand our Cleveland Pride mission, we are now hosting a pride event in our local community. Our goal is to show our love, support, and to embrace our LGBTQIA community.
