Sunday Service
Something for Everyone
Join us every Sunday at 10:00am as we gather, sing, pray, and reflect on God’s word in our lives.
Can’t make it in person? We live stream our services via Zoom!
-
We worship at our church at 11984 Caves Rd, Chesterland, Ohio, 44026. In the summer our services are outside in the pavilion (we love to be in nature)!
-
While our church is aligned with the United Church of Christ denomination, we welcome people of all beliefs and traditions. Our worship services include traditions and practices you might not find in other churches, including dance, poetry, Broadway songs, and more. Christian hymns and spirituals are sung alongside blues, country, global, and pop music.

Many of us experience and express our experiences of the divine in different ways; This is how it should be! At CCC everyone is encouraged to express and often struggle with their own beliefs and faith perspectives. We are an open and affirming church that is truly welcome to ALL, and you can find our statement of beliefs here. This statement is not a test to see if you agree, but rather an example of how we might express our various perspectives of faith.
-
Today in worship, in our hymnals and song books, in our variations of the "Lord's Prayer", and in our prayers and liturgies, we do our best to represent the diversity and mystery of God--a God that transcends gender and race. God is represented as Father, Mother, Creator and/or Spirit, and is depicted in racially diverse ways.
-
Of course! Children are welcomed and engaged and if they make noise or wander a bit during worship, we understand- they’re children! When we worship indoors, there is a space set aside for quiet play for small children both in the rear of the sanctuary and in the Narthex area where parents can still hear and see the service.
What’s Worship Like?
-
Ancient & Contemporary
Melding the old and the new, our services include both ancient rituals and more modern ways of seeking the divine. Experience your faith through biblical texts, Broadway songs, dance, poetry, and more
-
Beyond Patriarchy
Our congregation is made up of a strong majority of women, with women leading and serving in incredible ways. Our church was one of the first to have a female pastor. Together, we seek to be inclusive of people of all genders as well as those who choose not to be identified by gender
-
A Music Mosaic
Our music is a reflection of our diversity, so you’ll hear blues, country, and pop right alongside the more well known hymns and spirituals.

Inclusive Language & Imagery
Today in worship, in our hymnals and song books, in our variations of the "Lord's Prayer", and in our prayers and liturgies, we do our best to represent the diversity and mystery of God--a God that transcends gender and race. God is represented as Father, Mother, Creator and/or Spirit, and is depicted in racially diverse ways.
